I really enjoy going to that store and buying my groceries and pan. I've been going there since I was little and the men at the registers are always super nice! Very welcoming :)

I found the biggest Rosca de Reyes from this market, it was definitely fresh, still warm from the oven. The texture is soft and fluffy, and not too sweet. Get them here, it was only $25 which is a deal compared to $30-65 in other bakeries. It's seasonal but I'll only get them here from now on. The cashier was friendly as indicated in other reviews. If I lived closer, I would support this business more often. Definitely worth the travel.

I love El Porvenir Produce Market! You walk in and the Cashier Men are extremely positive and happy all the time! This little market has everything you need from meats, produce to especially my favorite Mexican Pan Dulce! My Favorite part is that Saturday mornings right when they open the bread is still hot yum. Fresh out the ovens! I been coming here for 20 years and they never disappoint. Truly happy to come to El Porvenir and leave very satisfied!

Oooh! Wandered in here because someone told me to go get some arnica, make tea, and drink it. They have a very extensive herb and spice department. And it's one of those stores, where you get inside and it seems so much bigger than the outside. It's dark and cool, with just the right amount of lighting. Everything looked good there. I did not sample the pastries, though I wanted a cookie or two or three in the worst way. All the baked good looked wonderful. They, of course, have a meat counter. i don't know what else to say. It's just a really great store and I'll do more shopping there, just so I have a reason to be there. It truly is a Super Mercado. Every thing you need for good Mexican food. There's nothing like a mom and pop grocery store to take me back to my childhood.

"Aw man, da San Franceesco Giants are keekeeng ASS! Ese Bonds si sabe jugar!! Aye man, you like da Giants?" The guy who owns this place talks to EVERYONE who walks into the store all the while he's ringing people up, bagging the groceries and watching either football or soccer on the tv hanging from the ceiling. Multi-tasker extraodinaire! When I turn on the Mexi-chef button I buy all my Mexi-groceries here. Even if I have to drive from SF to this store, I will. I've been coming here for my whole entire wide life. 5lbs. of carne asada, 5 avocados, 5 tomatoes, cilantro, onion, 10 jalapenos, rice, three dozen corn tortillas. $30...total. $20 buck for the meat alone. AND they have Mexican bread!!! The only pastries that I will never feel guilty eating. No matter how fat I get eating them. I don't care.
